After searching forever for a simple but useful spreadsheet to track all my poker results I decided to make my own and share it with the world. The idea is that I can use it for tournaments, sit and go's, live games and cash games. I just put the result into the sheet after the game and I can review all my games and keep an eye on my bankroll. I have decided to make it last for 4 years, as Microsoft will probably update excel by then.
You don't need any macros running to use it and you don't need to know anything at all about Excel. It will give me information about how profitable certain games, the effects of playing more than one table at once, the return on my investments, the profitability of sites, venues and home games. and much more. The more that this is used, the more the stats will show you what is needed to improve in your game.
I'll use this page for any questions anyone might have while using it.How to use:
Go to Personal Preferences page and add a site or venue where you play. Some have been added already but feel free to delete them.
When you play a game click on the Input page. This is where you will log your games after playing them. There are two sheets in one here, one for sit and go's or tournaments (blue), and one for ring games (purple). Make sure you put the data in for all of the requested columns. The Spreadsheet will take care of the rest.
I have put a few sample entries in the Input and Personal Preferences pages to show you how to put them in, so just delete those.
The sites or venues that you play can be deleted but NOT if you have played there already and used it. This is important. It holds a maximum of 50.
The charts, graphs and tables will be very useful once you have input some data into it but as with all data analyzing, will be useless to start with. The more you use it the more it will help you.
This spreadsheet is obviously completely free, but if you could click on the bookmark button underneath this post and help spread the word then that would really be appreciated.

wow i haven't seen one like this before. this is amazing compaired to the rest i been trying out. quick question tho, on my all time best wins it says #na in the boxes, why is this?
TiltLikeMe
#NA is excels way of saying there is no data to display. So if you have only played in 3 Tournaments for example then it will show them as your top 3 but the other 7 in your top 10 will be displayed as #NA until you play a bit more.
Put a few tournaments in to test it and you will see what I mean.
Awsome. Works great. Thank you very much.
It looks real good - can you however explain if it's possible to write yout own blinds in cash game - for example 0,15 - 0,25?
Anonymous - As I was working on creating this it was something that I decided against. The reason is because of the All Time Stats page. It has to know before hand which stakes will be used for analyzing your game afterwards. I tried to put in as many stakes as possible and used those.
However, if you play different stakes regularly then go to the email icon on the side of this blog and send me an email with the stakes that you play that aren't on the spreadsheet. Make sure you type your email address in it and I'll add them for you and send a modified version to your email address.
Stupid question - how do I actually get this to run? Can only seem to read XML source code?
NoCssh -
With Firefox you click the download link and it saves it as a spreadsheet file but I have just now noticed that with Internet Explorer it saves it as a Zip file which doesn't open properly.
Let me work on this a bit and get back to you.
OK the post has been updated with a separate link for Internet Explorer.
There shouldn't be any problems with downloading it now.
Hi, it still downloads as a zip file through this link. I can extract it, but I just get a load of xml files and I don't know what to do with them?
Nocash - If you are using I.E then click the second link, click to download, then choose open with Excel 2007. It will open that way instead of saving as a zip. I have no idea what that zip file is but if you choose to open it instead of saving it it will open with Excel. Obviously save it afterwards.
If you get any other problems getting it then email me and I'll send it across.
It's okay I've worked it out. You have created it in Office 2007 (Or 2k3 sp3). I just need to updated my Office 2003 to SP3 and install the new file converter to support the xlsm format.
Thanks
Dave
Brilliant spreadsheet. I,ve been using it a while now and want to delete some rows from the input sheet. What is the password to unprotect the document?
thanks
great work
Rich
You can delete rows without the password Richard.
I'm not too keen on the idea of putting the password out there though.
Hey, I was wondering how you input heads up matches? It goes into the multi table tab.. this isn't right is it?
Thanks
If it's a heads up cash game put it in the cash game part on the input sheet, If it's sit n go's put it in the tournament and sit n go part.
It calculates it all for you, just put 2 in the entrants row.
What it doesn't do however, is give you your "in the money %" or your ROI solely based on heads up matches like it does for 6 player tables, 9 or 10 player tables, and multi tournament games.
If you play mainly heads up sit n go's I can remove one of these for you and change it for heads up.
This may be a dumb question, but is it possible to change the unit of currency from pound sterling to USD?
Hi Jeff...
It is in USD's. I should have updated the screen shots.
I can not seem to find the spreadsheet. I am using IE and office 2007. Any chance you could email the sheet to me, I would appreciate it. Thanks

Steve
hi,
is it possible to have a version that can be opened with openoffice or MS office 2003?
i.e. a (.xls) file
thanks
Anonymous,
Sorry, it is just for Office '07.
Dont know if anyone else is having this problem but cell I6 on the input page is not working properly.
Can any one help?
Great piece of excel though, THX
Great spreadsheet pal. Did my own to begin with. Then when looking for idea came across yours. What a waste of time, could have been playing poker instead of messing around with spread sheets/ : )
Hi there, great work.
i however have one question, its with regard to the date input.
i have tried to input 11-07-09 (11th july 2009) and when i select ok, or move to a different column, it then changes it to 07-11-09 which is as you have mentioned, the wrong way.
why is this?
Now when i go to the end of year stats, it tells me my stats for november, not july....lol.
i must add, that like others, i have got office 2003 and have got the recent SP3 so that this file works. some help would be appreciated.
thank you!
Would it be possible to get the protection password for this spreadsheet i love the sheet but would like to change a few things like the date format
Where can I find the download for this spreadsheet? I would love to have this spreadsheet. pinball55555@yahoo.com
